Brief development

Objective:

Justify the nature of an intended outcome in relation to the context and the issue to be resolved. Justify specifications in terms of key stakeholder feedback and wider community considerations.

SUMMARY:
Talk to people, understand what is going on, and how the service being offered influences people’s lives; then get ready to develop improved solutions.

WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?!

+ Make sense of the way a system currently functions, and outline the reasons it works as it does.

+ Talk to the people involved in the process, or affected by it (get stakeholder feedback) and write about what they say.

+ Think about what is working, what can be improved, and how the existing system currently functions.
+ Summarise the information and ideas gathered from people and your observations.
+ Write a plan that shows how to improve the system being analysed.

+ Build understanding about how the existing system that has been developed and can be improved.
